On the 14th and 15th December 2010, Exco InTouch held a Free Web Seminar entitled: "New Technologies for Retention and Compliance - How enlightened companies are now better able to engage their Patients to ensure successful study conduct." During the web seminar, participants heard from Richard Mayewski, Patient Recruitment Specialist, Merck & Co Inc and Judith Teall, Director of Patient Recruitment, Exco InTouch who discussed how mobile technology can significantly improve Patient Retention and Compliance in Clinical Trials.
The webinar detailed a number of case studies, which highlighted the significant benefits of using mobile technology to manage patient retention and compliance compared to traditional methods. A Poll carried out during the webinar revealed that 65% of responders indicated that Patient Engagement was the biggest challenge faced in their Clinical Trials.
Better engagement of patients is becoming the critical focus of the Clinical Trials process, as it is the patient who can determine the success of your study. The webinar showed how effective patient engagement ensures compliance with your study protocol and how mobile technology can be used as a cost effective and easily deployable solution to address the majority of study challenges.
