Traditional in-bound recruitment campaigns rely upon potential candidates responding to paid for advertisements by either calling a call centre or visiting a recruitment website, however this tends to elicit a very poor response rate due to the need for the candidate to remember the detailed contact information.

Exco InTouch solutions can improve the performance of new and ongoing patient recruitment programs by including a text message key word and short code on trial advertisements (e.g. Text 'TRIAL' to 54321). Respondents to adverts can be sent pre-screening messages for initial qualification, and asked for their postal / ZIP code to determine location. The patients' responses and cell phone number are then forwarded to the appropriate recruitment personnel for follow up, and the recruitment contact details can be passed back to the respondents' cell phone.

How it works

Exco InTouch provides an SMS text message 'call to action' to add to trial advertisements. This provides trial candidates with a quick, discreet, and convenient method of registering their interest in participating in a trial.

Respondents are asked to consent to receiving further messages about the trial and can be asked a number of pre-screening questions (if required) and to identify their zip / postal code. The system then looks up the nearest recruiting centres and forwards the candidate details to the appropriate site staff, or call centre, allowing them to follow up with the patient directly.

Once a candidate has been recruited into the trial, follow up messaging can be sent reminding them about upcoming visits, medication dosing and other protocol obligations to increase compliance and reduce lost to follow up.
